Outsourcing

This alternative will allow an IFA who wishes to manage their client's assets in a discretionary manner, to do so, using the services of a third party that already have the required FSA approval. By using this service the IFA affectively will be authorised to handle client money and to hold clients assets and subject to certain criteria be registered with HMRC as ISA Plan Managers including 'White Labelling' of products and furthermore, in order to carry out these activities they will have met the obligation to have capital of €125,000.00.

With this infrastructure in place the IFA can continue to be the advisers to their clients but the discretionary portfolio/s will be managed & administered by the regulated third party. The IFA would enjoy all the advantages of having their own administration office and internal fund management arm, but without the considerable regulatory requirements (including additional qualifications) and ongoing costs that this entails.

To underpin this outsourcing service will be the utilisation of the full suite of IMVS Plc products and our technical expertise.

What does the service offer?

  • Banking & cashier services - Client monies will be held in a designated client account for which interest on any balances will be calculated and allocated to your clients accordingly. Client balances will be reconciled daily and the FSA requirement of the Client Money rules will be met.
  • Custody of client assets through register Nominee Companies (subsidiaries of the Parent Company). Designations will be applied to the registration details to maintain the integrity of records. Reconciliations will be performed to comply to the 25 business day requirements.
  • Equity dealing through established links to Stockbrokers.
  • Unit Trust dealing via CoFunds or directly with the Fund Managers.
  • Comprehensive back office functionality including transaction processing, reporting and where applicable CGT.
  • Income Processing - dividend and interest allocation, prompt dispatch to clients if they elect for their income to be paid to them or a regular basis. (monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annually)
  • Processing and allocation of Corporate Events for both cash and stock positions with the required book cost apportionment for CGT purposes.
  • Front Office services will be provided by a secure link via VOLe to the APA database maintained externally. This link will enable access to all of you clients portfolios and the functionality and reporting describe under the VOLe Product.
  • Twice yearly valuations including performance statistics or generated for you to send to your clients, together with Cash Transactions, Acquisitions & Disposals for the reporting period.
  • Full ISA administration and HMRC reporting.
  • Tax data dispatched promptly after the Financial Year End.
